Are you looking for Whitby Painters? Could your home or commercial property use a fresh coat of paint? Maybe a complete decorating or makeover job is in order. All it takes is calling a few painters and ask for an estimate, right? The process of finding painters and painting contractors may not be as easy as that, but it doesn’t have to be difficult either.
A little due diligence will help you find the right paint contractor.
- Ask to see the contractor’s credentials and references. Insurance and WSIB documentation, as well as safety certificates is a good start.
- Ask them about their company history and the projects in Durham Region they are most proud of.
- What about their customer service. What processes will they use to keep you satisfied? Will there be a dedicated job manager to oversee your paint job?
- Who are their painters, are they on payroll or will they use subs for your project?
- It’s always prudent to ask for some references and their contact information. Take the time to call the references and ask them specifically about their customer experience.
After following these few steps, rest assured that you have found the right painter. Ecopainting is a GTA painting company that works hard to provide the type of service that gives you peace of mind.

Painting of Whitby Medical X-Ray and Ultrasound Clinic
The clinic is located in Downtown Whitby at 220 Dundas Street West. We painted it for Ultraray, a company that among other things, builds medical and X-Ray clinics. Even though we work mostly for facility managers, we do have a few general contractor clients. We contracted for Ultraray a few times and every single time our painters love working for them. The Whitby project consisted of priming and painting all new drywall, the doors and door frames. Some walls in the common areas and medical rooms were wallpapered as accent walls. We painted the walls in Benjamin Moore neutral gray tones and the doors in a monochromatic accent. The job was completed successfully and as usual we look forward to our next project from Ultraray.
The Miller Group. Miller Waste Systems Inc. is a major waste management company with head offices in Markham, They have locations throughout Ontario and the rest of Canada.
In 2011 we were contracted to paint their Whitby location. The project included prepping and painting their employee office and lounge areas as well as common space and stairways. Part of it was painting a long red stripe in the common areas and stairways.
Another customer in 2016 was the Whitby offices of the TDSB, located in the downtown Whitby area. This was a complete repaint of their office space, including walls and doors.

In November 2009, George and Angela asked us to paint their home in south Whitby (Coastview Court). It was a repainting project and we painted most of the interior. Here is their testimonial as written in our Job Completion form:
“Karon, George, Torrie and Joanne were fantastic. As described, all areas were prepped completely and received a minimum of three coats of paint. The work was completed in a clean manner and care was taken to protect our property, including the dog. In review I would ask Ecopainting to work for my family in the future and feel proud to recommend them to friends and family. Hats off to all, well done!! “
Since then we painted a few home interiors in the Whitby area. The exterior in the image above was painted for a customer that contacted us through Facebook. It was in 2016 and they were planning to put their home for sale. Overall the home and the painted surfaces were in good condition but some fresh paint was in order to help with the sale. With some basic prep and an updated trim colour, the exterior of this house looked almost new. The customer was happy with the transformation and the work of our crews.
Painting a Small Bungalow in South Whitby
Brian and Joyce were the original owners of a quaint bungalow in South Whitby. Over the years they maintained their home extremely well but painting it again was not something they were looking forward to. They searched the web for local painters and we are glad they found our company. The surfaces were in great condition but we ended up painting the entire interior. We used white ceiling paint from Benjamin Moore and the walls were painted with their Regal select line.
What the Customer Said (Review)
“This was easier than we thought. Brian used to do all the painting, so finding someone he trusted was very important. We are very happy with the paint job and the two painters were very helpful and hard working. Every day they came in on time and at the end of the day cleaned up and put the tools away. The colours are bright and very warm. Manchester Tan was a good choice, thank you Karon for the suggestion. Now it’s time to think about the exterior. The brown is looking old and could use a fresh coat.” Joyce W. Whitby Ontario.
