- GO Transit Bus Repair Facility. GO Transit is one of our repeat commercial clients. Ecopainting has been servicing several transportation locations throughout the GTA. In the Durham region, we worked at the station on Bayly Street, where we painted several administrative offices, sub-contracting for Weber construction. We painted in Ajax and also at the bus repair facility in Oshawa. The job at the bus repair depot involved painting offices and other administrative areas. Our painters were able to complete the project within two stormy winter nights. By working at night we kept the staff inconvenience to a minimum.
- G&K Services. This organization has been one of our regular commercial painting clients. We first subcontracted the work from Weber Construction, an established general contractor. While most of our work has been in their primary Scarborough facility, this time we painted their offices in Oshawa. The colours here were intentionally warm and bright to counter the cold and gray, factory like feel of the facility.
- Oshawa Centre Shopping Mall – retail location. This was one of the most unusual jobs we painted. It was New York Fries restaurant in the mall’s food court. What made this difficult was that the painting took place alongside other trades. Calling this a tight deadline job would be an understatement. The renovated area was less than 100 square feet and the subcontractors had a very small window of opportunity .
- Lululemon was an important customer of Ecopainting. We paintedaint their GTA locations. One of the bigger stores was the one located in the Oshawa Centre. We assigned a sizeable and experienced crew there, to ensure same night completion. Working the night shift at these type of retail locations is hard work for most painters. The product specified for the stores was Benjamin Moore’s low VOC Aura. This paint dries fast and has virtually no odour. The only evidence of us being there, was the presence of the vibrant grape and lime tones in the morning.
