- Commitment to our painters. This is a big issue for us. We commit to our own people, train them and help them make a good living. We have regular prep training and painting sessions in our Scarborough location for our painters. Our trade has a rich history and tradition and we like to continue that. This is only possible with caring and professional painters. We are aware that most contractors don’t have any field employees. However convenient that is for them, our customers appreciate this important differentiation.
- Environmentally responsible painting. From the early nineties we worked hard to shrink our ecological footprint. Our name used to be “Ecopainting Systems”. This was before it was trendy to be green. When we incorporated years later, we named our company Ecopainting Inc. Environmental responsibility was not a marketing ploy, but a fundamental mandate. - Commitment to Customers (Ethics and transparency). The painters are fully insured, safety certified and comply with WSIB regulations. The paint job itself is done professionally. We apply quality paints and follow the manufacturer’s recomendations. As members of the PDCA we abide by industry standards.

Erin Stillaway – Estimator
Erin lives in Mississauga. She started as an apprentice 3 years ago while at York University. Her unmatched attention to detail made her a great painter. Erin expressed interest in estimating and she is instrumental in customizing our own estimating system.
Aziz is a resident of Brampton. He has been with Ecopainting for 5 years. As a Job Manager his service skills made him popular with our customers. We are confident that Aziz will run our Operations successfully.

Hi Erin. Tell us about yourself. Hi Julia. My name is Erin, I work with Ecopainting. I have been with Ecopainting for couple years now and just started to be an estimator.
Why did you decide to open a location in Mississauga? We decided that Mississauga was a great place to open another location because it’s a very fast growing city. There is a lot of new construction happening and there is tons of residential and commercial buildings. It’s close to the airport so there is lots of jobs to be had.
What Services Do You Offer? Residential and commercial, interior and exterior painting. We do offices, schools, houses, condos, apartments, that kind of thing.
How long has Ecopainting being around? We have been around for about twelve years.
Do you use sub-contractors? We don’t use subs. All our painters are actual employees, meaning they get benefits, vacation days etc.
What Makes Ecopainting Different from other Companies? The number one thing that makes us different is obviously the fact that we are concerned about being eco-friendly. We only use paints that are zero VOC, which means that they have no Volatile Organic Compounds in them and they are a lot safer to use. Another part about being eco-friendly is obviously reducing our ecological footprint. We try to make sure we reuse as much as we can and create as little waste as possible. That’s make us unique.
Another part of being different is our customer service. From the moment we come into contact with the client, we make sure that everything is transparent. We make sure that whatever our estimator speaks to the client about, is in our proposal. What needs to be painted, where it gets painted, and whatever is not being painted, all of it is in our proposal. And these detailed proposals become work orders for our painters. Everybody knows what’s going on.
What if changes need to be made? The client will get the changes in writing, to make sure they are the proper changes that need to be done.
